Share capital for sheep and wool producers cooperative societies

A sum of Rs. 25000 / - (Rs. Twenty Five Thousand) will be paid as share capital to the eligible sheep and wool producers co-operative societies, who have filed the audit report after one year of registration with the Sheep and Wool Development Corporation Limited, Hebbal Bengaluru-24. This share capital should pay back to the corporation after 5 years.

There are about 1.71 crore sheep and goats in the state and there is a desire to establish at least one thousand sheep and wool producers' co-operative societies. Therefore, taking this as a priority, all steps are being taken to establish co-operative societies. As well as the demand from the shepherds, the corporation is also contemplating the establishment of a co-operative society for every ten thousand sheep and goats population.
